A random girl is all she was,
Lied to herself she wanted to fade.
Never speak about the truth was her clause,
She had known people’s black shade.
She wondered why people looked at her the way they did,
glances that spoke a thousand judgments.
I could see the fire in her eyes hid,
But she continued scared with her speech impediment.
She made characters from books her mates,
Lied that she needed no one to understand.
With passing times she locked her gates,
Still, she continued to stare at her un-held hand.
She knew that her presence was a deemed unfit,
Her strong demeanor, making her melt away.
But ask me, I saw when she entered the room lit,
Her smile to my ‘I love you, I can’t forget till this day.
